She married Charles G. Shepherd in 1948, raised three children, taught piano for 36 years and sang in a church choir for 42 years. Now she is retired and has four grandsons and two great-grandchildren. Her hobbies are gardening, painting with acrylics, playing the piano, writing and traveling. Other published books are Saratoga Diary, How We Remember Martin Dewey Gable, and a history, St. Martin in the Fields, published for the churchs 50th anniversary. MANDY is a collection of 17 true stories, which are recollections from her childhood. Mandy is a mischievous child, although she considers herself to be a good little girl. She thinks very seriously about her future with each episode and applies a childish philosophy. All of the stories take place in Atlanta except Still Water, which is set at Lake Burton.
